Hello, and happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful time celebrating the holidays over the past few weeks and that you’re feeling refreshed and ready for the new year. With the optimism and motivation that the spirit of a new year brings, I am so excited to share a life update with you!
After many years (my whole life) of daydreaming, I’ve decided to make a big life change: I recently left my 9-5 job because I am going to culinary school starting next week! Leaving my full-time job was bittersweet, but pursuing a career in food full-time has been a longtime dream of mine. I have loved the kitchen, cooking, and all things food ever since I was a little girl. Cooking for myself, friends, and family is my happy place—it’s creative, sensory, nostalgic, mindful, and it’s the absolute best way to bring a group of people together, and I can’t wait to dedicate myself 100% to all things food.
I have so many big dreams that I want to turn into a reality and going to culinary school is the perfect next step to work towards those goals. To name just a few of my objectives: Share more content on a regular basis with you on What Annie’s Eating (recipe videos are in the works!), teach cooking classes, do recipe development for brands and publications, partner with food/culinary/lifestyle brands, do some private chef-ing, and hopefully one day write a cookbook!
Making this big life change was intimidating, but more exciting than anything else, and food blogging has been a constant source of motivation and support. The most rewarding part of food blogging on What Annie’s Eating is connecting with readers and other food bloggers, and I am looking forward to connecting with more of you! Whether you need cooking or grocery shopping advice, have an oddly specific question about roasting a chicken or preparing vegetables, want to collaborate on a project, or if you simply want to say hello and tell me about yourself – it’s so fun getting to know each and every one of you, and I am here for all of your cooking needs! I love hearing from you, so please don’t be a stranger – Email me (WhatAnniesEating@gmail.com), comment on blog posts, and follow and connect with me on social media channels!
Thank you so much for following along – stay tuned for more new content in the near future! Happy cooking!
You go girl!!
So happy for you Annie! Keep following your dreams❤
